Description:The Minebea PM9, referred to as the 9mm機関けん銃, is a Japanese Submachine Gun based on the Israeli-made Mini Uzi and using its telescoping bolt system. It is being exclusively used in JSDF service since early 1990s as its main submachine gun to arm secondary military personnel, with the exception of some of its special forces units. Some sources suggest that JSDF is looking to replace it with German-made H&K MP5 SMG.

Description: The Type 89 Assault Rifle, referred to as the 89式5.56mm小銃, is a Japanese assault rifle used by the Japan Self-Defense Forces and the Special Assault Team. Description:The Type 64 Rifle, referred to as the 64式, is a Japanese-exclusive battle rifle used by the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. It is a gas-operated and select-fire weapon capable of semi-automatic and fully automatic fire, firing an 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge with powerful accuracy with its bipod. It was never exported outside of Japan due to its strict anti-hardware export laws. It have been replaced by the Type 89 rifle but is still in use for reservists, secondary military personnels and mostly the Air Force.

Description:The M249 SAW, referred to as the Sumitomo M249, is a support machingun firing 5.56x45mm NATO and built under Japanese license. It excels in delivery of sustained automatic fire, its accuracy and high cyclic rate make it frightening to be on the receiving end of its brunt. It is well suited for supporting fire, to aid team mates' movement and engagement capabilities. It is used in JSDF service as its main support weapon to replace the old Type-62 GPMG.

Description:The Sumitomo NTK-62, known as the Type-62 GPMG, is the standard issue General Purpose Machine Gun of the JSDF firing 7.62x51mm NATO and similar to the Belgian FN MAG. Largely replaced by the Sumitomo M249 in the JSDF, its accuracy, high cyclic rate and fiability make it reliable to play a support role. It is still used as a co-axial weapon in various armored vehicles, including tanks and APCs, as well as being a medium support machine gun for the Infantry. It was never exported outside of Japan due to its strict anti-hardware export laws.

Description:The Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) Type 64 is more accurate than the DMR Type 89 rifles due to its caliber, which make it capable of accurate fire at extended ranges. It can be used to give infantry squads supporting fire from distances which regular rifles would not be able. Equipped with the Sniper Tasco Scope 3-9x40 it is well suited for delivering accurate fire to 500m. It was originally used as a sniper weapon however it have been replaced by the M24 in this task.

Description:The Panzerfaust 3, referred by the JSDF as the 110mm LAM, is a modern and disposable recoilless anti-tank weapon developed between 1978 and 1985 in Germany and built under Japanese licence as the 110mm Anti-Tank Weapon. It have partially replaced the Karl Gustav recoilless anti-tank rifle into service by the JGSDF. The 110mm LAM and its different versions are deadly weapons feared by armored vehicles crewmen as it need only a single shot and soldier to get dangerously close to penetrate heavily armoured targets. The 110mm LAM is a reliable anti-tank weapon with a maximum effective range of over 300 to 600 meters.

Description:The Type 01 LMAT is a Japanese man-portable fire-and-forget Light Anti-Tank Missile (LMAT). Similar to other modern anti-tank missiles it is a deadly weapon feared by armored vehicles crewmen. At the speed of 4 Kilometers per minutes, it is delivering an accurate point fire out over several kilomoters with its Infrared homing guidance system. Since 2001, the Type 01 LMAT is into service with the JSDF.
